By IGN Staff Writer IGN staff Writer The next update for the federal stimulus package will include a $100,000 stimulus package, which will fund the construction of more affordable housing and create new jobs, the House Budget Committee announced Monday.
The House Budget and Policy Committee will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m.
EDT in the U.S. Capitol for a closed-door session where members will be able to vote on a full stimulus package for the first time in nearly a decade.
The full stimulus proposal will also include more than $30 billion in funding for programs for low-income Americans, including $2.8 billion for the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
The stimulus package would fund nearly $600 billion over the next decade in the form of a $2 trillion investment in infrastructure, according to a summary provided by the House Committee.
The measure also includes $1.6 trillion in tax relief for Americans who make less than $150,000 per year and $1 trillion in additional funding to fight climate change, according the summary.
President Donald Trump signed the bill into law on March 16, creating an emergency fund for the cost of repairs and other emergencies.
