Senate approved second stimulus bill, putting more than $1 trillion to spend on job creationThe House passed the package on a 228-197 vote, and the Senate is expected to follow suit.
The package would fund the second round of the government’s $787 billion stimulus package through the end of 2018.
The Senate also approved a plan to increase the federal minimum wage from $7.25 an hour to $10 an hour by 2020.
It’s the largest increase in a decade.
